Streamlined, lightweight down hoody filled with 850 white goose down. This backcountry specialist hoody is intended as a mid layer or standalone piece in cool, dry conditions.

Putting Down Where it Counts
Strategic placement of synthetic and down insulation has Coreloft synthetic insulation, that retains warmth when wet, placed along the shoulders, collar, sleeves and underarms – areas prone to contact with moisture. 850 fill European Goose down lines the core and sleeves where warmth is most needed.

Backcountry Warmth
Streamlined and lightweight, the Cerium LT down hoody is filled with 850 white goose down, intended to act as a mid-layer under a shell, or a standalone piece for cold, dry conditions. A three part sleeve moves freely and keeps a low profile.

Weight Savings
Specialized construction: light, elasticized hem; three part sleeve; binding finishes and superior craftsmanship are the thoughtful attention to detail that allows the use of stronger fabrics that can stand up to everyday use. This is a piece you will want to live in.

Arc’teryx Epsilon LT Jacket – Men’s Review

Arc'teryx Epsilon LT Jacket - Men's

  • Activity: Backcountry Skiing, Rock Climbing, Hiknig, Trekking
  • Epsilon: Air permeable mid layer fleece with a hard faced smooth outer surface made with hydrophobic Bonded Poly Micro-Grid Fleece
  • LT (Light Weight): Built with highly durable top performance materials but designed with a streamlined minimalist set of features to provide very light weight
  • Fit: Athletic fit, Hip length
  • Weight: 1lb 1.5oz

Powerfully versatile softshell that performs as a midlayer in moderate cold or on its own for active pursuits in cool weather. A lightweight polyester grid fleece is bonded to an abrasion resistant nylon woven face fabric. This combination creates a single material that effectively insulates and moves moisture while delivering breathability, weather protection and stretch performance.

Arc’teryx combines materials, intelligent design approaches and real world testing to create clothing and gear that meets the highest levels of functionality. Based in Vancouver, B.C., the designers’ access to the mountains and coastline provides a versatile testing ground with a variety of weather conditions, the perfect laboratory for softshell development.

Arc’teryx designs to deliver maximum function and performance freedom. The Epsilon LT Hoody’s streamlined athletic cut minimizes snags and easily layers under a hardshell. The hip length cut delivers additional protection when bending or reaching. Gussets are built in for increased range of motion, and ergonomic articulation is part of the patterning.

The grid pattern inside efficiently traps warm air, and allows moisture vapor to move away from the body and easily escape. On the face, nylon weave provides abrasion resistance, air permeability, protection from light weather, and exceptional stretch performance. By bonding fleece to a nylon face, a single fabric provides maximum versatility.

Standing in as our “Arc’teryx Standard” fit, the complex patterns used utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion and eliminate excess bulk. Trimmer than the Relaxed fit with room for a base layer, a light fleece mid-layer and a synthetic or down filled mid-layer.

Materials: Bonded Nylon Poly Grid Fleece. Face: 85% nylon, 15% elastane. Back: 100% polyester fleece.

Arc’teryx Men’s Fission SL Jacket Review

    Arc'teryx Men's Fission SL Jacket

    • 100% nylon
    • Activity: Ski/Snowboard, Backcountry Skiing, Ice Climbing, Trekking
    • Fission: Insulated, windproof, waterproof outer layers
    • SL (Super Light): Uses the lightest weight materials available to provide high weather protection, performance and/or packability, but with the right amount of durability
    • Fit: Athletic fit, Hip length
    • Weight: 1lb 7.1oz

Serious mountain travel requires an insulated piece with exceptional warmth-to-weight value. The Fission SL is our lightest, fully waterproof, insulated jacket that is outstanding in cold wet weather.

GORE-TEX full storm weather protection is teamed up with our exclusive laminated ThermaTek non-quilted insulation. The result is evenly distributed warmth that can stand up to anything. No cold spots.

There are times when you’re working hard but you can’t or don’t want to remove your insulation. Pit zips let you vent heat rapidly, extending usability on cold days. The insulated StormHood takes care of wind and storms with a fully secure, helmet compatible shelter.

Often this is the at base camp or sitting out a storm piece, so we’ve included two zippered hand pockets, two internal mesh dump pockets, WaterTight Vislon centre front zipper, and an invaluable hem drawcord that allows you to really bunker down and have what you need at the ready.

The Arc’teryx helmet compatible Stormhood is designed to provide the ultimate protection in cold or wet weather. The laminated brim and hood adjusters secure tightly and deliver full coverage without restricting movement or visibility.

Exclusive to Arc’teryx, Thermatek is a continuous filament, synthetic insulation that is treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellent) to make it hydrophobic, which means that it repels moisture very efficiently. The lofty insulation is then laminated to a backing fabric to ensure an even distribution and insulation.

    Materials: N40p-X GORE-TEX 2L. ThermaTek 2.7 oz-100% nylon face, 92 g/m2.
